Christmas 2014

These holidays were amazing! We spent 2 weeks playing, relaxing, and enjoying family. This year was very fun because Callie got very excited about Santa visiting and was amazed when he brought her exactly what she wanted. Liam was, of course, quite oblivious to the whole event, although was quite excited about the fact that there was a tree in our house with a never ending supply of shiny balls to play with :-)
We were very spoiled to have Preston spend a full week(ish) with us at home. We went on many adventures and enjoyed much time together.

We started December with our annual cookie decorating at the Knowles house. Liam and Preston stayed home, while Callie and I enjoyed some fun cousin/aunt/grandma time. Each year gets a bit easier and easier (and much more fun) with the kids.

The day ended with some much needed quiet time with Grandma

We headed to the local fruit stand to pick out a tree this year.

Many of the ornaments ended up in the same spot on the tree but it was done by Callie and Liam all by themselves!

I then took the kids to the fairgrounds to enjoy some Christmas activities.

We spend a very wet day at the zoo to feed the reindeer. It was very very wet and we didn't take any pictures except this one....the best we could get


Christmas Eve:

We were blessed by having 2 kids sleep in a bit on Christmas day. When they finally woke up, we opened presents together and had a nice breakfast. Then we headed over to the Knowles house to spend the rest of the day with our cousins and aunts/uncles and grandma and grandpa.

We then headed to the cabin to celebrate Christmas with the Grahams. We enjoyed some very relaxing days.

Callie got a pair of new binoculars for Christmas - we went on many walks at the cabin to try to see some animals

Getting growy

Now that Liam has arrived, it's becoming more and more obvious how big and mature Callie is! I keep telling her that she needs to stop getting so big.....her response? "No, I want to get growy like you so I can open the blinds and drive all by myself!"......hmmm, not quite ready for that! But this weekend was a BIG weekend for Callie, Saturday I was feeding Liam and Callie was changing her babies when she ran off to the bathroom. After a couple minutes Preston ran to check on her and we found that she decided she was done with her pacifier and was throwing it into the trash (we had previously gotten rid of it until we found out she was afraid of the dark, and on our pediatrician's advice, gave it back to her after a month of no sleep). We went with it and Saturday she had her first pacifier free night......it was rough! Unfortunately Preston had to deal with the brunt of it, as I was up with Liam. Introducing.....Callie Lynn Graham

Our baby girl has finally come to join our family! Callie was born on August 10th at 6:34 pm., weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and measuring 19.5 inches long. She is a absolute delight and Preston and I can't seem to get enough of her. Although the laboring went quickly, the delivery proved a bit trickier for me and we ended up needing to deliver by C-section. Callie was extremely healthy and was ready to leave the hospital even before I was! Due to a few complications, Preston, Callie, and I ended up staying at the hospital for 5 days. Luckily Preston has so much time off of work - don't know what we would have done if he needed to go back after a week. We can't seem to say enough positive things about the nursing staff at St. Joseph's hospital. They were amazing! Although it was not fun staying at the hospital that long (especially since we only packed our bag for one night) we got a lot of extra help with nursing and overall care of Callie. Mothers Day Weekend

We had amazing weather for Mother's Day weekend and tried to enjoy every minute of the summer. On Sunday, Callie and I ran the color run. A 5k through Seattle which involved a lot of dust and color. It was a lot of fun and  I was super proud of her and how she pushed herself. Before the race. Shirts are still white and hair is still normal color. We ran with one of Callie's good friends and her mom.  Bubbles! That was a highlight for Callie, she loved running through the bubbles.  Done! Color and dust everywhere! We spent Saturday with Katy and Dennis and explored Renton and a local beach and park. Callie and Katy The gang! Saturday was so beautiful that we actually went home and the kids ran in the sprinklers and played in the bathing suits all day.
