Christmas 2014

These holidays were amazing! We spent 2 weeks playing, relaxing, and enjoying family. This year was very fun because Callie got very excited about Santa visiting and was amazed when he brought her exactly what she wanted. Liam was, of course, quite oblivious to the whole event, although was quite excited about the fact that there was a tree in our house with a never ending supply of shiny balls to play with :-)
We were very spoiled to have Preston spend a full week(ish) with us at home. We went on many adventures and enjoyed much time together.

We started December with our annual cookie decorating at the Knowles house. Liam and Preston stayed home, while Callie and I enjoyed some fun cousin/aunt/grandma time. Each year gets a bit easier and easier (and much more fun) with the kids.

I love this picture! It about sums up Callie's hysterical personality.

The day ended with some much needed quiet time with Grandma

We headed to the local fruit stand to pick out a tree this year.

Trying to find the perfect ornament to put on the tree

Many of the ornaments ended up in the same spot on the tree but it was done by Callie and Liam all by themselves!

I then took the kids to the fairgrounds to enjoy some Christmas activities.

We spend a very wet day at the zoo to feed the reindeer. It was very very wet and we didn't take any pictures except this one....the best we could get

Christmas Eve:

We were blessed by having 2 kids sleep in a bit on Christmas day. When they finally woke up, we opened presents together and had a nice breakfast. Then we headed over to the Knowles house to spend the rest of the day with our cousins and aunts/uncles and grandma and grandpa.

Callie was more than happy to help Liam open his presents

We then headed to the cabin to celebrate Christmas with the Grahams. We enjoyed some very relaxing days.
Snuggles with Nana and Granddad

Callie got a pair of new binoculars for Christmas - we went on many walks at the cabin to try to see some animals

Walking around the cabin

We headed up to Staircase to enjoy a little hike and some rock throwing into the cold, cold lake

Another Plane Ride

So, Callie and I spent my spring break in Pennsylvania. It was a wonderful trip and Callie just LOVED being spoiled by all her aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandmas! (she was a bit in shock when we came back home and she was stuck with just mom and dad - she also took a two hour nap the day we got back, which she has never, never (and probably never will again) done, traveling sure is exhausting!). I was a bit nervous about the very long plane ride, but besides not eating at all, Callie did fabulous! Although, she never really did understand why she couldn't grab the people sitting next to us or in front of us. Even though she got sick on the way back, she was still a wonderful traveler. She loved sitting with Grandma and looking out the plane window (yuck!). We met Grandma in Chicago - at that point in time both Grandma and Callie needed a snuggle, so they spent part of our layover cuddling up in the airport. Bikes

We are now a family of 4 pretty impressive bike riders.

Sun River 2018

For mid winter break, we headed up to Sun River for the week. As always, it did not disappoint! The kids had a blast spending the week with Grandma and Grandpa, all their cousins, skiing, and playing in the snow. This year we started with no snow on the ground and ended with a blizzard that made driving home very tricky. Liam stayed home with Grandma while Callie and I skied. Although it is always hard to be left behind, he loves his Grandma so much and they had an absolute blast together. I'm also realizing that she took all the pictures so I have very few with her...major bummer! We celebrated these 2 boys on this trip.  When there is this many kids, you not only take over the whole run but there it is also very difficult to figure out which way to go.... Grandpa and his gang Pretty soon we won't all fit on one couch. Unfortunately our sister/dad ski day did not go as planned. Sarah took a spill the day before and was not able to ski with us for ...
