Pumpkins

This year we kind of put off going to the pumpkin patch with hopes that Preston would get better and able to come. This weekend, we realized we couldn't put it off anymore so Callie and I packed ourselves into the car and headed out. It ended up being a bunch of fun but we were VERY wet afterwards. Callie had the privilege of riding home in the car in just her diaper. Hmm....which one to choose? She wasn't too keen on the inside of the pumpkin but eventually warmed up to the idea of it. We decided to only empty one pumpkin out with her as she decided that raw pumpkin doesn't taste too bad - not a battle I was willing to fight. So we pulled the paints out and she painted her pumpkin. Which she loved.....there wasn't much orange left by the time she was finished. The end product

Recent Pics

Here's some recent pictures of our quirky little/big girl! It seems that she has turned into a toddler overnight! Yup, still wearing her butterfly girl hat. Go Dawgs! Still wearing it.....and brushing our teeth (which is a constant battle!) She loves to play with her horse - you sing "Ride a Little Horsey....." and she lights up. When she is supposed to fall down, she very dramatically rolls off it laughing like mad.  As I said before....quirky! She still loves to read books but now if we don't want to read the same book for the fifteenth time, she is content climbing up onto the couch and reading it herself. Here's what happens when mom is cooking and we are a bit less supervised - yes, we did pull every single ziplock bag out....one.....at......a......time.....!

One of my favorite times of the year...

The fall season is one of my favorite times of the year - the change of weather, the looks of the trees, and all the holiday activites. We spent some time at Remlinger farms and the kids had a blast; rides, ponies, pumpkins, and so much more. Callie's favorites included a fire truck, a straw maze, and a car ride. Peek-a-boo All smiles and giggles from Clara Hanging in the fire truck Besides Bennett and Maya, Laurel was the only one who was willing to actually ride the pony. Both Clara and Callie liked the idea until the actually sitting on the animal. Callie had SO much fun riding in the car. She was all about turning the steering wheel as the car drove. Wish I could have gotten a face shot becuase you would see how big her smile really was! Getting lost in the maze

Butterfly Girl

Anyone with girls is probably familiar with ladybug girl. Callie's daycare had a reading event about Ladybug girl. Each class did something different to get ready for the event. Callie's class made hats and Callie's was butterfly girl! She loves it and wears it everywhere! Ready for bed butterfly girl? Yup, still wearing it! Here's what it looks like when she puts it on herself :-) I don't have the heart to tell her its upside down.

New Favorites

Besides books, Callie has some new favorite things to do. This has always been her favorite place to sit while I am cooking dinner. She just recently realized that she can close the door on herself. She thinks it is absolutely fabulous and does it all the time now. Every once in awhile she will poke her head out and wait for you to say peek-a-boo; which is always followed by giggles! Maya and Laurel got her some puzzles for her birthday and she loves them! Sleeping with the cat! Amazing what the cat will let her do!

Laundry

Callie loves to help me with the laundry. Her idea of help is not my idea of help! What?! Time to fold laudry...count me in! This is how we do it right?! Roll around how many times?! LOTS of giggles the whole time!
