Girls Weekend

We take a tradional girls camping trip during the summer when Trish is home for the summer (one of these times, we will go over to visit her in Switzerland). Our camping trip started out as tent camping but last summer we switched to renting a cabin. This year Callie came for a few days, then Preston took her for a day so I could enjoy some time to myself. We went to Lake Kachess again and although the water was VERY cold, we ended up with beautiful weather!
The sunscreen mohawk

This was one for her favorite things to do - although she got a bit of a surprise when the bucket had water in it one time. Pretty cute!

Rocks in the bucket, rocks out of the bucket, rocks in the bucket......on and on and on.
PS - she LOVES the beach!

What a cheeseball

This is pretty much how we spent the rest of the kid free day - very relaxing. Although we did manage to spend some time kayaking.

Another Plane Ride

So, Callie and I spent my spring break in Pennsylvania. It was a wonderful trip and Callie just LOVED being spoiled by all her aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandmas! (she was a bit in shock when we came back home and she was stuck with just mom and dad - she also took a two hour nap the day we got back, which she has never, never (and probably never will again) done, traveling sure is exhausting!). I was a bit nervous about the very long plane ride, but besides not eating at all, Callie did fabulous! Although, she never really did understand why she couldn't grab the people sitting next to us or in front of us. Even though she got sick on the way back, she was still a wonderful traveler. She loved sitting with Grandma and looking out the plane window (yuck!). We met Grandma in Chicago - at that point in time both Grandma and Callie needed a snuggle, so they spent part of our layover cuddling up in the airport. (sorry, I took these with my cell phone) Looking out the ...

Bikes

We are now a family of 4 pretty impressive bike riders.

Sun River 2018

For mid winter break, we headed up to Sun River for the week. As always, it did not disappoint! The kids had a blast spending the week with Grandma and Grandpa, all their cousins, skiing, and playing in the snow. This year we started with no snow on the ground and ended with a blizzard that made driving home very tricky. Liam stayed home with Grandma while Callie and I skied. Although it is always hard to be left behind, he loves his Grandma so much and they had an absolute blast together. I'm also realizing that she took all the pictures so I have very few with her...major bummer! We celebrated these 2 boys on this trip.  When there is this many kids, you not only take over the whole run but there it is also very difficult to figure out which way to go.... Grandpa and his gang Pretty soon we won't all fit on one couch. Unfortunately our sister/dad ski day did not go as planned. Sarah took a spill the day before and was not able to ski with us for ...
