Sun River

Keeping with tradition, for mid winter break we headed down to Sun River for the week. It was a fun week of skiing, swimming, hot tubing, and playing games. The long car ride makes it all worth it when we see the smiles and hear all the giggles the Knowles cousins share. We spent the first weekend with everyone there (the Sarions, the Jones, and the Knowles) and then by the end of the week just us and the Knowles were left. It is extremely safe to say that my kids had a blast!!! Thank you so much to grandma and grandpa for making this memorable vacation possible!

It was so nice to be able to get outside after a long day of car riding. Callie thought it was super fun to ride her scooter on the icy roads.

And Liam, of course, opted to push his bike around instead of riding it.

We had some amazing skiing days. The weather was quite unpredictable and ranged from raging winds, to crazy snowfall, to sunshine, but the kids all (surprisingly) had an absolute blast! There was minimal complaining and lasted much longer than I expected. The kids spent their days taking over the mountain and deciding who got to be the leader in their snake. (the video might explain better)

We skied one day with just Grandpa. I kind of figured that she wouldn't last long (none of her cousins were there and it was snowing like crazy...) but you can't underestimate this girls' love for her grandpa. She would do anything to to be with him and skied a majority of the day without stopping. 

We found some long blue runs that Callie loved! Wish we would have found them at the beginning of the vacation. 

Thanks to grandma, I was able to spend 4 days skiing which meant that she got 4 'Liam' days. He had some much fun playing with her! The two of them had a lot of fun at the playground even though it was covered in snow. 

We took the girls there after a ski day (excuse the crazy helmet hair). Not sure how they had energy for it but we pretty much had to drag them off the playground. 

The tire swing was a hit.

Getting growy

Now that Liam has arrived, it's becoming more and more obvious how big and mature Callie is! I keep telling her that she needs to stop getting so big.....her response? "No, I want to get growy like you so I can open the blinds and drive all by myself!"......hmmm, not quite ready for that! But this weekend was a BIG weekend for Callie, Saturday I was feeding Liam and Callie was changing her babies when she ran off to the bathroom. After a couple minutes Preston ran to check on her and we found that she decided she was done with her pacifier and was throwing it into the trash (we had previously gotten rid of it until we found out she was afraid of the dark, and on our pediatrician's advice, gave it back to her after a month of no sleep). We went with it and Saturday she had her first pacifier free night......it was rough! Unfortunately Preston had to deal with the brunt of it, as I was up with Liam. Not much sleep in the graham house! We were motivated though.....Sunda...

Introducing.....Callie Lynn Graham

Our baby girl has finally come to join our family! Callie was born on August 10th at 6:34 pm., weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and measuring 19.5 inches long. She is a absolute delight and Preston and I can't seem to get enough of her. Although the laboring went quickly, the delivery proved a bit trickier for me and we ended up needing to deliver by C-section. Callie was extremely healthy and was ready to leave the hospital even before I was! Due to a few complications, Preston, Callie, and I ended up staying at the hospital for 5 days. Luckily Preston has so much time off of work - don't know what we would have done if he needed to go back after a week. We can't seem to say enough positive things about the nursing staff at St. Joseph's hospital. They were amazing! Although it was not fun staying at the hospital that long (especially since we only packed our bag for one night) we got a lot of extra help with nursing and overall care of Callie. Mothers Day Weekend

We had amazing weather for Mother's Day weekend and tried to enjoy every minute of the summer. On Sunday, Callie and I ran the color run. A 5k through Seattle which involved a lot of dust and color. It was a lot of fun and  I was super proud of her and how she pushed herself. Before the race. Shirts are still white and hair is still normal color. We ran with one of Callie's good friends and her mom.  Bubbles! That was a highlight for Callie, she loved running through the bubbles.  Done! Color and dust everywhere! We spent Saturday with Katy and Dennis and explored Renton and a local beach and park. Callie and Katy The gang! Saturday was so beautiful that we actually went home and the kids ran in the sprinklers and played in the bathing suits all day.
