South Carolina

Ahh....I don't even know what to say about South Carolina. So much fun, so much family, and some much love. I can't imagine a better time. I so value and love this time that we are given to spend time with family and in such a beautiful place nonetheless. Thank you so much to Granny for giving us this opportunity and creating such an amazing experience. I cannot thank her enough. I am so blessed to know that my  kids are surrounded, for a week, by such an amazing family that loves and cherishes them.

The trip was a blast. The Grahams were pretty much just beach bums the whole time, only venturing into town one day. It took Liam about 4 days before he was finally happy at the beach and by the end was playing and running in the water alongside his sister. Callie is a fish.....I'm pretty sure she could spend all day in the water and be happy!

After a full day of traveling on planes or being in airports, the kids were tired when we got there and ready to explore. After  our traditional night of pizza, everyone headed to the beach to check it out. Wish I would have had my camera (thank you Sarah for this one) because by the end all the kids were in the water (clothes and all) screaming and laughing....pure joy!

Did I mention she loved the beach?!

Oh...and she loved the pool too :)

I would go so far to say that Liam was a bit overwhelmed by the number of people there. He was a bit reserved and clingy during the trip. Luckily, Grandma knew how to draw him out

Liam adjusted to the time change very quickly and got up very early on the trip. I guess the good news is that he woke me up in time to see the sunrise (multiple times...)

The one day we went into town was very hot. After dragging the kids through the market we hit the fountain for a quick cool down

2 years ago, we took a picture of these beautiful girls in the same exact spot (in diapers). Amazing how much they have changed!

I love the next series of pictures. I was trying to get them to give me real genuine smiles...each picture truly captures each of these girls personalities (and Liam had to get in on it too)

Getting growy

Now that Liam has arrived, it's becoming more and more obvious how big and mature Callie is! I keep telling her that she needs to stop getting so big.....her response? "No, I want to get growy like you so I can open the blinds and drive all by myself!"......hmmm, not quite ready for that! But this weekend was a BIG weekend for Callie, Saturday I was feeding Liam and Callie was changing her babies when she ran off to the bathroom. After a couple minutes Preston ran to check on her and we found that she decided she was done with her pacifier and was throwing it into the trash (we had previously gotten rid of it until we found out she was afraid of the dark, and on our pediatrician's advice, gave it back to her after a month of no sleep). We went with it and Saturday she had her first pacifier free night......it was rough! Unfortunately Preston had to deal with the brunt of it, as I was up with Liam. Not much sleep in the graham house! We were motivated though.....Sunda...

Mothers Day Weekend

We had amazing weather for Mother's Day weekend and tried to enjoy every minute of the summer. On Sunday, Callie and I ran the color run. A 5k through Seattle which involved a lot of dust and color. It was a lot of fun and  I was super proud of her and how she pushed herself. Before the race. Shirts are still white and hair is still normal color. We ran with one of Callie's good friends and her mom.  Bubbles! That was a highlight for Callie, she loved running through the bubbles.  Done! Color and dust everywhere! We spent Saturday with Katy and Dennis and explored Renton and a local beach and park. Callie and Katy The gang! Saturday was so beautiful that we actually went home and the kids ran in the sprinklers and played in the bathing suits all day.

Introducing.....Callie Lynn Graham

Our baby girl has finally come to join our family! Callie was born on August 10th at 6:34 pm., weighing in at 7 pounds 1 ounce and measuring 19.5 inches long. She is a absolute delight and Preston and I can't seem to get enough of her. Although the laboring went quickly, the delivery proved a bit trickier for me and we ended up needing to deliver by C-section. Callie was extremely healthy and was ready to leave the hospital even before I was! Due to a few complications, Preston, Callie, and I ended up staying at the hospital for 5 days. Luckily Preston has so much time off of work - don't know what we would have done if he needed to go back after a week. We can't seem to say enough positive things about the nursing staff at St. Joseph's hospital. They were amazing! Although it was not fun staying at the hospital that long (especially since we only packed our bag for one night) we got a lot of extra help with nursing and overall care of Callie.
