These are a few of my favorite things....

Callie has started to become particular about some things. Here are a few of her favorites: She prefers this over the rocker, it only takes about 5 minutes or so to put her to sleep. I'm hoping to bounce those last 10 pounds off! I don't want to use the word lazy.....but.......she has decided that breast feeding is a bit too much work so we have had to give her the bottle for some feedings. Trying to stick with it though.... She LOVES her tongue! It is always out of her mouth. She also loves to lick things - blankets, burp rags, arms, anything! Callie does best when there is a bit of sound around. She sleeps best when there is a bit of noise - this lamb creates some white noise that helps her sleep (thanks aunt Katy and uncle Preston)! Greatest invention ever! This lets Preston and I eat dinner together, allows me to shower every day and much, much more.... In the last 2 days, she has started to focus on objects around her. This is by far her favorite (it plays musi

Smiles!

I had to quickly post this picture! (I just love it)....

Facial Expressions!

Callie has just started smiling this week! She doesn't smile often but we know that is to come - right now we now have smiles that are no longer caused by gas :-) The smiles always seem to come at the perfect times too - Callie and I wake up about the same time Preston leaves work and this morning, he gave her a kiss as she was waking up and she broke out in a huge smile. Great way to start the day! I have tried to get a shot of a smile but this is all I could get (a bit of a cocky half smile) She also has this super, adorable frown that comes right before she is about to cry - I know she probably doesn't appreciate me smiling at that facial expression, but I truly can't help it. I haven't taken a picture of it, I figured that would probably be wrong (who takes picture of a crying baby!)

Family Road Trip

This last weekend, we took our first family road trip. We had the opportunity to be a part of Adam and Rachel's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, amazing venue - and we could not be more happy for Adam and Rachel. We wish them all the best and can't wait to be a part of their married future. We set out for the 4 hour drive with a bit of anxiety (not knowing how Callie would do) but she was a fabulous traveler. The 4 hour drive took us a bit longer (due to feedings) but we always seemed to be able to find a Burgerville to stop at. The wedding was spectular and we felt very loved by the Roselli family! (I haven't met another family that is so good at making people feel like family and giving out hugs!) Pastor Preston did a fabulous job and the Graham family had a blast at the wedding. The beautiful couple Pastor Preston Pres and Kris On the way home we stopped at Multnomah Falls and took a very small hike (with about 100 other people). It was beautiful!

Littlest Husky Fan

Well......football season has officially started! Pat came over from Hawaii for the UW/U of H game and treated Callie to her first piece of Husky gear. We had family Husky day (I had to be talked into it) - we all wore our Husky gear - too bad we couldn't all be in the picture (although I do have to say, it was a little too matchy-matchy for me)

One Month Old

It is hard to believe that our baby girl is officially one month old! Amazing! She continues to be a happy, active baby. When she cries, it is always for a reason (although we are not always quick to figure out what the reason is, we are getting better) - either she needs a diaper, food, or to sleep (sometimes she just needs a hug too). Preston is officially back to work, it has been fabulous having him home for so long and he and Callie have truly bonded during that time. We don't have any official stats for one month (she doesn't need to go back to the doctor until 2 months) but she continues to grow and get longer by the minute. We are continually learning new things about her: She LOVES baths! If we would let her, she would just sit in the tub all day - and afterwards she is always relaxed and calm. She is a fabulous traveler. We recently got the opportunity to be a part of Adam and Rachel's wedding. Callie was fabulous on the long car ride (the 4 hour car ride took

First Hickey

Callie is growing up so quickly! This was a weekend of firsts - this weekend Callie received her first hickey! We were sitting on the couch, doing some tummy time (which she loves!) when I realize that she is not working on lifting her head but instead sucking on her arm....not thinking too much about it, I let her. Lo and behold - she now has a hickey on her arm! Oops! (sorry, I had to take the picture with my phone - camera is with Preston - picture didn't come out too well)
