Some fun playdates

We have been enjoying the sun and some local places to play. With Liam walking our outings are getting much easier and much more fun for everyone involved. Although he requires a lot of following, it is much nicer to be able to not worry about the ground he is crawling on and just let him go.
Liam got a new swing for Christmas and thanks to our spring like weather we have already been out to enjoy it. He loves to swing next to his sister and also get pushed by her.

He has a love for bubbles

We went to a local gym to play. Liam and Callie had so much fun!

Practicing some flips with dad

We also went to a local indoor gym to play. There is a balloon area that both of the kids loved! It is surrounded by fans and filled with balloons - so much fun!

We also got to enjoy  a sunny day at the beach. We played on the playground, swung on the swings, made tons of sandcastles, and threw many, many rocks into the ocean.

Throwing rocks into the ocean

We went on a day that Maya didn't have school and it was so much fun having all three of them at the beach!

He looks super thrilled doesn't he?! Ha.

Kind of the perfect place to swing!

Rolling and Reading

Callie rolls ALL over the place!!! One of her favorite places to end up is her bookshelf. Look what I found! As a side note, it looks like one of our cats is finally accepting that Callie is part of the family (or atleast, she isn't going anywhere) and has become very tolerant of her. She lets Callie "pet" her and will even walk up to Callie (which, if you know this cat, is VERY unusual - there are some people who still have never seen her). The other day when I was getting Callie from her nap this was outside her door. Apparently the cat loves Callie enough to bring her toys.

Another Plane Ride

So, Callie and I spent my spring break in Pennsylvania. It was a wonderful trip and Callie just LOVED being spoiled by all her aunts and uncles, cousins, and grandmas! (she was a bit in shock when we came back home and she was stuck with just mom and dad - she also took a two hour nap the day we got back, which she has never, never (and probably never will again) done, traveling sure is exhausting!). I was a bit nervous about the very long plane ride, but besides not eating at all, Callie did fabulous! Although, she never really did understand why she couldn't grab the people sitting next to us or in front of us. Even though she got sick on the way back, she was still a wonderful traveler. She loved sitting with Grandma and looking out the plane window (yuck!). We met Grandma in Chicago - at that point in time both Grandma and Callie needed a snuggle, so they spent part of our layover cuddling up in the airport. (sorry, I took these with my cell phone) Looking out the ...

Mothers Day Weekend

We had amazing weather for Mother's Day weekend and tried to enjoy every minute of the summer. On Sunday, Callie and I ran the color run. A 5k through Seattle which involved a lot of dust and color. It was a lot of fun and  I was super proud of her and how she pushed herself. Before the race. Shirts are still white and hair is still normal color. We ran with one of Callie's good friends and her mom.  Bubbles! That was a highlight for Callie, she loved running through the bubbles.  Done! Color and dust everywhere! We spent Saturday with Katy and Dennis and explored Renton and a local beach and park. Callie and Katy The gang! Saturday was so beautiful that we actually went home and the kids ran in the sprinklers and played in the bathing suits all day.
